Speed Agile
The US Air Force hopes to replace the Lockheed Martin C-130 military transport prop plane with a super short take-off and landing (STOL) airlifter known as the Speed Agile. The Air Force Research Laboratory has been funding both Lockheed and Boeing to work on wind tunnel models. Last month, the Air Force Research Laboratory released the images, below, of the 23%-scale model of Lockheed's four-engine concept.
