VOTE ON THE BEST NAME FOR THE SR-72
Thanks to everyone who submitted names—more than 1,000—for the Lockheed Martin SR-72, successor to the SR-71 Blackbird. The name Raven was submitted 55 times. For good reason, perhaps. Another popular submission was Stiletto. Also cool, but taken. Ditto Dart (by Corvair as well as the Dodge). Four people proposed naming the SR-72 after themselves. We've managed to choose ten finalists. You can vote for your favorite using the ballot below. The winner will be submitted to Lockheed Martin. For guidance, here are some all-time great plane names.
